Poilce in Fife have named the man killed in a car crash in Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy last month and issued an appeal to trace his next of kin.
Paul Austen Lowry (55) was killed after the Jaguar car he was driving collided with a Renault Clio and a Fife Council minibus on March 26.
Mr Lowry lived in Kirkcaldy but it is understood the 55-year-old moved to Fife from England only a year ago, causing police problems in trying to trace his next of kin.
Inspector Brenda Sinclair, deputy head of road policing, told The Courier that efforts to trace his family continued and urged anyone who may have known Mr Lowry to get in touch.
Seven pupils and a teacher from Kirkland High School in Methil were offered counselling after the minibus they were in was involved in the accident.
The youngsters were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment to minor injuries and shock but were not seriously hurt, while the teacher was released from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Head teacher Ronnie Ross said, “We are offering whatever support they will need, through the school or our partner agencies.
“The pupils are coping as could and would be expected, given the circumstances.
“We are relieved that things were not worse for the pupils and our thoughts are with the family of the person who lost his life.”
Mr Lowry was pronounced dead at the scene in Victoria Road, and investigators believe he may have taken ill immediately before the crash happened.
Any relatives or people who may have known him and are aware of family details should contact Fife Police on 0845 600 5702.
