A woman who died after an accident in Kirkcaldy on Tuesday night has been described as a devoted mother by her family.
Mother-of-three Jane MacDonald (37) was killed along with her son’s girlfriend, Abby Hucknall (18), after being involved in a collision with a Land Rover Discovery on Dunnikier Way.
The tragedy unfolded just yards from the Earn Road flat they shared with Jane’s son Joe (19).
A statement on behalf of Mrs MacDonald’s family said: ”Jane was a loving mother whose heart was with her children.
”Jane will be a sadly missed daughter, mother, sister, auntie and mother-in-law.”
Abby’s family earlier released a statement describing the teenager as ”a very bubbly, caring and beautiful girl who will be sorely missed by all who knew her”.
Floral tributes remained by the roadside yesterday.
Fife Constabulary are continuing their investigation into the collision and once again appealed to the public to come forward with information.
People who can help with police inquiries are asked to phone 0845 600 5702, or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
