Australian couple hope for reunion with bridesmaid 50 years after wedding
ByThe Courier Reporter
A couple who wed in Fife almost 50 years ago hope to be reunited with their bridesmaid.
Iain and Lesley Taylor, who live in Australia, tied the knot in Templehall Church in Kirkcaldy in June 1967.
Two years later they moved overseas with the British Army and lost contact with bridesmaid Christine Farmer, who lived in The Bowery, Leslie, at the time.
Lesley, whose maiden name is Brown, worked with Christine at the offices of Nairn’s in Victoria Road. Iain and Lesley think that Christine married and became Mrs Goodsir.
They intend to return to Scotland to celebrate their golden wedding in 2017 with friends and family and want Christine to be there.
Christine, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, can contact the Taylors by emailing perble@bigpond.net.au.
