The 'Arbroath Smokie' will be featured on the website.
The Arbroath smokie is among the culinary treasures spearheading the launch of a website that heralds Scotland as “land of food and drink”.
Launched on Wednesday, scottishfoodanddrink.tv will showcase Scotland’s world-class products, producers and foodie events throughout the year.
On three themed channels our stories, Scotland’s larder and what’s on viewers can see clips from artisan and large-scale producers across Courier Country, including Bruce Farms, Rannoch Smokery, The Highland Chocolatier, and Diageo. What’s on will offer a taste of events such as the launch of the River Tay salmon fishing season, the Commonwealth Games, and the Ryder Cup.
Fiona Richmond, Scotland Food & Drink 2014 project manager, said: “We’re confident the TV hub will bring the food and drink sector alive, which will in turn build a lasting legacy that will stretch into 2015 and beyond.”
