The Lynch Sports Centre had to be closed again because of its leaking roof.
Its reputation as one of the few indoor pitches in the country where football can be cancelled by bad weather has proved difficult to plug.
The problem has existed for years, and the council has brought in experts for advice on how to seal the dome.
A year ago the centre was closed for the same reason and seven-a-side players vented their frustration at the frequency of the problem. They said there would often be patches of water on the surface after rain, which players would mop up with paper towels, but heavy downpours made the problem too severe.
Lord Provost Bob Duncan, chairman of operating body Leisure and Culture Dundee, said on that occasion that temporary work had been carried out and a permanent solution was being investigated.
He predicted work on a solution will be completed by the end of March 2013.
