Cyclist in hospital after A85 accident

A cyclist taking part in a major national event remains in hospital in a serious condition following an accident on the A85.

The woman was involved in a collision with a car at around 11am on Friday as she joined hundreds on the road for the Ride Across Britain.

Police closed the road in both directions between the A827 road to Killin and the A84 at Lochearnhead after the crash.

The road was closed for several hours and traffic diverted more than 71 miles while officers carried out investigations.
