The A9 Perth to Inverness road was closed northbound near Calvine due to an overturned car.
Firefighters were in attendance at the site due to two people being trapped inside the grey Citroen DS 3 vehicle.
The incident took place on the Dalnacardoch to Blair Atholl stretch of the road around 3.42pm.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We have three appliances on site and are assessing how to free two people from a car that is lying on its side.
“Two people were trapped inside the car.
“It was a one-vehicle accident.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland confirmed they are also in attendance.
