Rangers and Scotland star Kyle Hutton has denied speeding at more than 100mph on the A9 in Perthshire.
The 20-year-old appeared at Perth justice of the peace court a week after he was initially due to face the charge.
The case initially called on August 18 only for JP John Stewart to be told Hutton was instead in Slovenia ahead of his club’s Europa League clash with Maribor.
He was present for the revised date, however, before returning to Glasgow to continue preparations for the second leg of the tie.
Hutton, of Macfarlane Crescent, Glasgow, pleaded not guilty to a charge alleging that he drove at 101mph on the A9 Stirling to Perth road on April 16 this year.
The matter was continued, with dates fixed for September 8 and 13 and Hutton ordered to appear on the latter.
The player has represented Scotland at under-19 and under-21 level.
