THE DEATH of a man in Alyth this week is not being treated as suspicious.
Andrew Ewart (28) died at an address in the town’s Airlie Street. Paramedics were unable to revive him at the scene.
A spokesman for Tayside Police said: “The locus was contained for forensic examination. Forensic officers and CID attended, along with scenes of crime officers and investigations are continuing. There are no suspicious circumstances but, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
“As always, at times like these, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased.”
Councillor Dennis Melloy said the community was shocked, adding: “It is a very close community and everyone feels these things.”
Mr Ewart’s family was too upset to speak about his death.
