Finance secretary John Swinney has shown his support for a six-year-old girl’s charity efforts.
The North perthshire MSP purchased a saltire-themed loom band from Isla Kennedy, who supported her friend Amber Stewart in her battle with leukaemia and is now raising money for cancer charities.
Mr Swinney made his purchase at a charity stall Isla was allowed to set up at Fisher’s Hotel in Pitlochry.
He said: “It was lovely to meet Amber and Isla on Saturday. Creating all of these loom bands has been a marvellous venture of real kindness between friends.
“I love my saltire blue and white loom band and will wear it with pride.”
