Man dies in accident involving car and tractor near Coupar Angus

A man has died in a horrific road accident on the A923 near Coupar Angus.

A red Vauxhall Astra and a tractor pulling hay bales collided on the Dundee to Coupar Angus road at the Kettins crossroads.

A 61-year-old male passenger in the car was fatally injured.

The 60 -year-old female driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital for reatment to minor injuries.

The 48-year-old driver of the tractor was also taken to Ninewells as a precaution.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place.

Any witnesses are asked to phone 101.
