Perthshire residents shocked after cannabis farm is uncovered

Residents of a quiet Perthshire village have spoken of their shock after a cannabis farm was found in their midst.

Police raided the property at Balnaskeag, near Kenmore, on Friday afternoon and a man was detained in connection with the find.

Those living nearby said they had no inkling of the drugs operation nearby.

One man, who did not want to be named, said six police vehicles had arrived on the street at around 2pm.

He said he was “shocked” to hear a cannabis farm had been discovered nearby.

Police removed seven yellow bags of organic material from the cottage.
