Driver hurt in lay-by collision with lorry

A motorist was taken to hospital on Sunday night following an accident on the A90.

Their vehicle collided with a lorry parked in a layby near to Walnut Grove at around 9.15pm.

The incident caused significant disruption to the Perth-bound carriageway as emergency services attended.

The casualty was freed from their car by firefighters and treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

A police spokesperson said their injuries had “not been as serious as initially feared”.
