A Perth photographer has scooped a top prize in the first Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.
Donald Cameron took the Best Urban award with a black and white shot of the Falkirk Wheel.
The title of Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year was won by Craig Aitchison with a portfolio of three pictures, including one of Buachaille Etive Mr in the snow.
The competition, endorsed by VisitScotland, was the brainchild of Fife-based landscape photographer Stuart Low and celebrates the beauty of Scotland’s scenery.
Mr Cameron said: “I’m obviously delighted to have three images selected among the competition winners and winning the urban category is a particular highlight. I mainly shoot black and white, long-exposure imagery around Scotland but, actually, not very often in urban settings. However, the Falkirk Wheel is such an unusual structure that I thought it would work really well with this style.
“As with all landscape photographers, I put a lot of time and effort into producing my images, so it’s great to receive such recognition from the judges.”
