Perth 800’s success in attracting showcase events was borne out by the official events guide’s launch.

The newly-extended programme of events has been reprinted to include the substantial number of events that have been added to the list of attractions since the start of the year.

They include:A concert by the Australian String Quartet An Andy Warhol exhibition at Perth Museum and Art Gallery An artists’ residency at Perth Museum and Art Gallery A visit by the BBC Blast Truck The Perth Six Nations Ultrafest, an international running event A Scottish Golden Oldies Rugby Festival New city centre markets The Tay Bike Ride to Perth The Kinnoull Hill Sculpture Trail The Scottish Cross Country Mountain Bike Championships.Provost John Hulbert said, “Perth 800 already had a line-up of over 100 events throughout the year, and am delighted to announce that we have managed to secure even more top attractions across our main themes of culture and sport, heritage and the economy.”

The updated guide will be available from main council receptions, and art galleries, museums and libraries.
