Several pubs in Perth received recognition at the Best Bar None Awards 2014/15.
The awards, now in their eighth year, focus on public safety and customer care.
This year’s judging panel consisted of Councillor Douglas Pover, the convenor of Perth and Kinross Council’s community safety committee, senior police officers, fire officers and the chairperson of Perth and Kinross licensing forum.
The first ever Pubwatch Awards were also presented at the ceremony by Perth and North Perthshire MP Pete Wishart.
The scheme focuses on safety and customer care and gives each licensed venue the opportunity to prove it meets a standard of operation set in consultation with the government and drinks industry at a national level.
Safe and well-managed licensed venues are rewarded with a plaque, which can be displayed to help promote the venue.
Councillor Douglas Pover said: “These accolades are an excellent way of recognising and promoting good practice by our local licensed premises.”
