A Perthshire woman has issued a plea to the public to help find her lost dogs.
Maggie Saunders said she has been struggling to cope since two of her Jack Russell terriers ran off.
Minime and Daphne escaped from the boot of her car last Thursday when she returned to her home near Alyth. Though they have made previous breaks for freedom, they almost always return within two or three hours.
Mrs Saunders said her third terrier, Scoop, had been pining for them.
She said: ”Usually it is a matter of all out and inside for tea, but last Thursday mother-and-daughter team Minime and Daphne decided to do their terrier thing and make their bid for freedom.
”No amount of screaming brings them to heel once their blood is up. I always dread this moment and then breathe a huge sigh of relief when they return a few hours later.
”However, it is now five days since they bolted and I am in meltdown. Having raised this whole family from scratch it is like losing a part of a family.”
Mrs Saunders asked anyone walking in the Alyth, Meigle, Coupar Angus area, or near the Leitfie Golf Centre, to get in touch with her on 07887 803358 if they believe they might have spotted either of the terriers.
Both are small and white with reddish brown faces.
