A well-known Perthshire farmer was one of the victims of the road accident on the outskirts of Scone on Friday which claimed the lives of two people.
Robert Bruce Coupar (78), of Clockmaden Farm, Kinrossie, died at the scene, as did Elizabeth Ellis (63), of McLachlan Street, Stenhousemuir.
The two-vehicle accident happened around 11.10am on the A94 Perth to Forfar road at the entrance to Perth Airport.
Mr Coupar was driving a silver Ford Fusion and Elizabeth Ellis was the front-seat passenger in the other car involved, a silver Skoda Roomster.
The 67-year-old male driver of the Skoda and the 70-year-old female passenger from the Ford have been discharged from hospital.
The small community of Kinrossie, which lies only a few miles from the accident site, was shocked by the death of one of its long-term neighbours.
”It is an absolute tragedy we are struggling to come to terms with it,” said one.
Mr Coupar was understood to have worked at Air Service Training at the airport before taking over Clockmaden Farm on the outskirts of the village a number of years ago from his father.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the accident are continuing and Tayside Police have appealed for any members of the public who may have information regarding it to call 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
