Reconstruction of missing Pitlochry woman Elizabeth Stevenson’s last known steps fails to make breakthrough

A reconstruction of missing Pitlochry pensioner Elizabeth Stevenson’s last known movements has turned up no early fresh leads.
It was hoped Tuesday’s re-enactment of Mrs Stevenson’s walk along the A9 north of the town with her distraught daughter Fiona Kerr playing her would prompt a witness to come forward.
The event was staged exactly two weeks after the 77-year-old was last seen and the search has become increasingly desperate.
She was last seen by the side of the northbound carriageway of the A9 above Loch Faskally at 2.30pm.
Mrs Stevenson, known as Bet, suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has limited eyesight, which may have contributed to her disappearance.
She is 5ft 4in, slim, with blue eyes and red, jaw-length hair. When last seen she was wearing a lightweight beige jacket, grey trousers and black boots.
She is a regular walker, well known across a community which has eagerly assisted in the inquiry into her disappearance.
Anyone who knows where Mrs Stevenson is or who has information that could assist police in tracing her can call 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
