Woman who died in Perth traffic accident named as Nicola Cross

The woman who was killed in a tragic accident in Perth on Wednesday has been formally identified by police.
Nicola Cross, of Juniper Place in Perth, died after she was struck by a car in Jeanfield Road at around 10.15am.
The 30-year-old mother was walking near the junction with Cornhill Road and Burghmuir Road when a red Toyota Corolla mounted the pavement and hit her.
She suffered serious head and chest injuries. She was rushed by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where it was later confirmed that she had died.
Her family have been too upset to comment, but have requested privacy as they try to come to terms with the tragedy.
A car matching the description of the vehicle involved was traced elsewhere in Perth and an 81-year-old man is continuing to assist police with enquiries.
