The people of Perth have been given the rare opportunity to get up close to a Harrier jump jet.
The plane is on show in St John’s Place until tomorrow as part of an RAF display unit comprising the jet, a display vehicle and an information tent.
The Harrier weighs in at 5.27 tonnes and arrived on an articulated lorry on Thursday morning, when it was rolled off into position ready for display.
Perth City Centre Management has been working with the RAF on the project and there was considerable competition from around the country to have the aircraft on display.
Staff are on hand to answer any questions and show people around the jet, including the cockpit.
