A single mortar was discovered on the Atholl Estates, near Blair Atholl, at around 9.30am on Monday. While a team of experts from the Ministry of Defence were examining the shell, a further three were discovered. All four were found to be inactive. A spokeswoman for the MoD confirmed they had removed the shells from the site. Atholl Estates were unavailable for comment.
