Two Perth flatmates have been jailed for six months each for separate offences.
Darren Oakes and Paul Lappin were told by Sheriff Lindsay Foulis that they had appalling records when they took their turns to sit in the dock.
Both accused were described by their solicitor Billy Somerville as having problems with alcohol that led to their offending.
Oakes, 42, St Catherine’s Road, admitted throwing a piece of crockery out of his third-storey-flat window on July 27 last year with no regard to the consequences.
Sheriff Foulis heard that a 60-year-old motorcyclist was turning right from High Street into Caledonian Road when he was startled by the crockery smashing on the ground in front of him.
When the motorcyclist looked up to see where it had come from he saw Oakes hanging out of his window.
Police found both Oakes and Lappin in the flat, and Lappin confirmed it was a bowl that had been thrown.
Lappin, 29, also of St Catherine’s Road, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence and racist remarks on March 17 at St Catherine’s Retail Park.
Lappin had threatened to burn his flat down if police officers took him home after he was found drunk in the street.
Paramedics had deemed him fit to be released into the care of a responsible adult.
He continued to verbally abuse and insult officers.
