Perth Show’s hard-earned reputation as one of the best agricultural events in the land was confirmed on Saturday as thousands of visitors descended on the event.
There was little sign of the sporadic heavy downpours which blighted this year’s opening day as huge crowds enjoyed the many attractions on offer.
Located on the South Inch, the show boasts a great “town and country” atmosphere. Now in its 148th year, the event proved as popular as ever.
Among the top attractions was the grand parade of livestock and a breathtaking display by the Royal Artillery motorcycle display team.
Rather more genteel but every bit as entertaining was the pet competition judged by Provost John Hulbert.
Other attractions included the wide range of delicacies on offer at the SWRI tent and over 150 trade stands catering for both farming and non-farming visitors.
