She was discovered at Shierglas Quarry, near Killiecrankie, around 8.55pm on Thursday, when emergency services were called to the scene. The woman was unconscious when she was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where she was kept in overnight. It is understood she lives locally and was last seen around 3pm prior to the incident. The fire and rescue teams rescued the woman using longboards and general purpose lines. Four fire service vehicles attended the incident. A spokeswoman for the ambulance service confirmed that the woman was unconscious when she was taken to Ninewells Hospital. “The woman fell around 10 metres (30 feet) down an embankment,” she said. “She is not very well.”
