On Tuesday night, Arbroath Academy’s performance, Wild Things, was declared by the judges as a colourful and energetic performance.
“Arbroath Academy created a truly mesmerising performance that was performed with whole-hearted conviction. A pulsating sound track kept up the pace of the story,” said the panel.
Montrose Academy were also involved and took to the stage with their moving piece Phytophthora, based on the true events of the potato famine.
The Scottish Final will see a return to the Caird Hall in June.
After winning last year’s event, Arbroath High was not eligible for the event but automatically qualified for the northern premier final at Grimsby Auditorium in July.
