Pete Wishart challenges Danny Alexander to A9 average speed camera debate

The controversial average speed cameras being installed on the A9 between Perth and Inverness have divided opinion.

Now Pete Wishart, MP for Perth and North Perthshire, hopes to organise a meeting with campaigners.

He has challenged Danny Alexander, MP for Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey, to take part in a debate on the cameras.

Mr Wishart said: “I know Danny, as the leader of this campaign, will be keen to put his case for speed and exceeding limits and have it challenged, as I am for my support for the cameras.”
