Police name motorcyclist who died after crash on A822

Police have confirmed that a motorcyclist seriously injured in an accident in Perthshire on Friday later died in hospital.

James Lambert, who was 62,was travelling north on the A822 Crieff to Braco Road when he was involved in a collision witha black Landrover Freelander and a silver Ford Fiesta, which were both heading south.

Emergency services closed the road for several hours to allow the injured to be treated and taken to hospital, and to allow for a full investigation.

Sadly, Mr Lambert later died in Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The crash happened at around 1.10pm on Friday and police are asking any witnesses to phone 101.
