Man left with serious facial injuries after mugging in Perth

Police in Perth have launched an investigation after a man was mugged in the city.

The 29-year-old was assaulted and robbed in a common close by three men in County Place at around 7.45pm on Wednesday.

The thieves took a mobile phone and money and left the victim with serious facial injuries that required treatment at Perth Royal Infirmary.

Officers are urging anyone with any information that may be useful to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or speak to any police officer.

Information can also be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
