Mountain bikers of all levels enjoyed taking part in the Hairy Coo race at the weekend in Perthshire.
Held at Comrie Croft on Saturday and part of the Drovers Tryst Festival, the event incorporated a round of the Big Tree Campervans youth MTB Series, and was suited to beginners, youths up to and including top level racers and adrenaline seekers alike.
Regarded as a ‘friendly fun’ event, the day consisted of three races designed to test the skills of the mountain bikers at the purpose built trails at Comrie Croft in Strathearn.
There were also different races for children.
The Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst celebrates the life, work and play of the people in the Crieff area in the 1700s.
Guided walks are at the core of the festival, ranging from themed walks to high level ones.
During the Tryst festival week, the group also organise a series of social events, including informative talks, films and a ceilidh.
