T in the Park bosses to meet Strathallan locals to discuss festival plans

Locals have expressed concerns about such a major festival being hosted in the peaceful surroundings of the Strathallan estate.
Locals have expressed concerns about such a major festival being hosted in the peaceful surroundings of the Strathallan estate.

Strathallan residents will have the chance to quiz T in the Park bosses at two major public consultation meetings next week.

Since it was announced Scotland’s biggest music festival would move to the Strathallan Castle Estate, local people have been clamouring for more information.

The community will hope to have many of its questions answered at the Auchterarder Community Church Centre on Wednesday and at the Strathearn Community Campus on Thursday.

Both meetings take place between 4pm and 8pm and will be attended by representatives from DF Concerts and the specialist sub-contractors that make up the event planning and management team.

DF Concerts said it is “committed to working with the local community to minimise any impact the proposed event may have”.

“The format of the public consultation meetings will allow people to have one-on-one dialogue with the team members responsible for delivering the festival,” a spokeswoman said.
