Almond Valley Village plans up for public discussion

Developers behind a plan to build 1,500 homes and a new primary school on the outskirts of Perth said it would provide “significant” long-term benefits to the city.
A spokesman for Savills, who are acting on behalf of the Pilkington Trust, said the exhibition on the Almond Valley Village plans was “very well attended”.
The trust and builder Stewart Milne have lodged a proposal of application notice with Perth and Kinross Council for the development on land between Ruthvenfield and Huntingtowerfield.
The Savills spokesman said: “Whilst some local residents continue to object to any development at Almond Valley, this project is a key piece of the overall development strategy for Perth, which will provide much-needed housing to support the future economic growth of the city.
“The jobs and investment that this project will create will provide significant long-term economic benefits for Perth and should therefore be considered in this wider context as an important step forward for the city as a whole.”
