Theft and death of Perthshire puppies still under investigation

Police are still trying to track down the thieves who stole six puppies from kennels in Killiecrankie.
Three labrador pups died following the horrific incident which took place overnight between December 11 and 12 from the home of gamekeeper Darren Smith.
He had been keeping the four-and-half week old dogs at his home and described the theft and death of the litter as “horrendous.”
Mr Smith, 29, told The Courier he was at a loss as to why the young puppies had been stolen.
Following the thefts, there were unconfirmed reports that the puppies were being sold by a dealer in Wales.
However, although a police spokesperson said officers had been in touch with other forces, she said they are still looking in to the matter.
