The home of Scottish curling hosted a series of taster sessions for budding new players.
Kinross Curling School held sessions at the town’s upgraded rink on Saturday.
The try-out event is designed to introduce non-curlers to the sport by getting them on to the ice with qualified coaches. It was also a chance for members of the public to check out the new-look rink after its £1 million refurbishment.
The facility underwent a comprehensive upgrade between April and September last year to secure the future of the sport locally.
Two years ago the ice rink, built in 1977 as an extension to the Green Hotel, faced closure because the refrigerant used in its ice plant was outlawed under EU regulations. The arena was saved, however, following a hard-fought campaign by the Kinross Curling Trust and its supporters.
