Watch the bizarre rap tribute to Perth-based power company SSE
ByStefan Morkis
Rappers are often criticised for lyrics that brag about guns, drugs and bling.
But two Scottish rappers have found a new lyrical seam to mine: Perth-based electricity company SSE.
SSE employee Dav Lynch and his friend Andy “Macapella” created the rap which lauds the range of services provided by SSE and even the reverse parking skills of its drivers.
It’s a little known fact that anyone visiting SSE’s headquarters in Perth must reverse into a parking bay.
The company received widespread praise last week for its response to the widespread black outs caused by strong winds across the country.
The SSE Anthem was posted on YouTube last night and has already been viewed more than 1,000 times.
Whether it will be enough to win Dav and Macapella a gig at the SSE Hyrdo in Glasgowremains to be seen.
