A 10-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a karting accident in Perthshire.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place on private land near Whitehills Farm, Gleneagles, Auchterarder, at about 5.45pm on Sunday.
The incident involved a yellow EZ Rider off-road kart, which was fitted with a black roll cage and driven by the boy, who sustained a serious head injury when the vehicle left a track and came to rest in a ditch.
The boy was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, by air ambulance. He has undergone surgery and his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
