A man has been charged in connection with the death of a young Perth mother and is expected to appear in court today.
Although the 38-year-old was quickly arrested following the incident in Letham on Thursday, he was only formally charged over the weekend.
The victim, who was named locally as Aleksandra Korkus (28), from Poland, died from injuries sustained in the incident at a ground-floor flat in Firbank Road.
Police and paramedics found the woman seriously injured and she was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, but doctors were unable to save her.
