One of the longest-running small claims cases in Scottish legal history has been settled at Perth Sheriff Court.
After more than two and a half years of wrangling between a disgruntled resident of a housing development in Scone against grounds maintenance company Greenbelt, the court has found in Greenbelt’s favour.
Edmund Andrew Forbes from the Balgarvie development in Scone launched a small claims case in may 2009 for around £150.
This was for the price of two years’ annual management charge. Mr Forbes claimed the company had not done any work in that time.
John Beveridge, head of customer services with Greenbelt said: ”Common sense has prevailed.”
