Pair due in court accused of assaulting man at home in Crieff

Two men are expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court today in connection with an alleged assault on a man in his home in Crieff at the weekend.
It is alleged that a resident of Drummond Terrace was assaulted by two men who forced entry to his home around 4.45am on Saturday.
The man was left uninjured but shaken.
A police spokeswoman said two local men have been arrested and are expected to appear at the court today.
She said detectives are also investigating a number of separate incidents of theft which occurred in the same area of Crieff at that time. These are not linked to the alleged assault.
Police are appealing for witnesses to phone 0300 111 2222.
