Woman found dead in Perth flat

Police in Perth are investigating the death of a 41-year-old woman whose body was found in a flat in the city on Wednesday.

Ambulance personnel were called to the top-floor flat at St Catherine’s Square at around 5am but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Police sealed off the immediate vicinity of the flat and also carried out door-to-door inquiries at the three-storey block.

A police spokesman confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances but said a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics attended at the scene.
