Valuable Steiff teddy bears handed in to Perth charity shop

The Barnardo’s shop in Perth has been donated two Steiff teddy bears, which are highly sought after by collectors.
The bears, worth around £200, came with instructions that they should be raffled in the run-up to Christmas.
Shop manager Jane Guild said: “As for the lovely lady who donated these teddies, she wishes to remain anonymous and only wanted the publicity to make sure we raise as much money as possible for them.
“All I can say is, she has been a customer since I arrived 14 years ago and I remember her from the old shop in George Street.
“It’s an incredibly generous gesture and we hope we can live up to her expectations and raise as much money as possible from the sale of raffle tickets.”
Tickets are £1 each and can be purchased from the Barnardo’s Scotland shop at 18 Scott Street. The raffle will be drawn on Monday December 22.
