Drivers halted by horseplay on the Friarton Bridge

Surprised commuters had their evening journey delayed after horses were found trotting up the motorway.
Traffic on the Friarton Bridge was brought to a halt after three of the animals broke loose from their field and headed for the busy M90 at around 5.30pm on Thursday.
The horses are believed to belong to a tenant of Hilton Farm near Craigend and live in a field at Craigclowan.
A man at the farm, who did not want to be identified, said he had helped the police round up the animals and return them to their field.
A police spokesman said they had been called to the bridge to catch the roaming horses and that the trio had been walked back to their home by officers.
He said: ”We had nine 999 calls (about the horses). They were on the slip road heading towards the southbound carriageway.”
