Colin Bissett stabbing: Rattray man appears in court

Scott Shepherd (23), of Rattray, appeared in private before Sheriff Lindsay Foulis at Perth on a petition alleging the attempted murder of Colin Bissett.
Shepherd is accused of repeatedly stabbing Mr Bissett (26) with a knife on May 16 at William Street, Blairgowrie, and attempting to murder him.
He is further accused of assaulting Jamie Smith (26) by striking him on the face with a bottle or similar instrument and repeatedly punching, kicking and stamping on his head and body to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Shepherd made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.
Sheriff Foulis granted solicitor Paul Ralph’s application for bail, with conditions including a curfew at his bail address outwith Blairgowrie.
It is understood two other men are being sought in connection with the incident.
