Woman flown to hospital after digger overturns in Perthshire farming accident

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a farming accident in Perthshire.
The emergency services were called to Mains of Pitcastle farm at Ballinluig, near Pitlochry, at around 4pm on Wednesday after a digger fell 40ft down an embankment.
Firefighters from Perth, Dunkeld and Pitlochry attended.
Crews used a longboard and general rope equipment to reach the woman who was trapped inside the front loading digger at the bottom of the embankment.
She was transferred to a waiting Scottish Ambulance Service helicopter and was flown to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The woman’s injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
