Police raid flat in Perth city centre

A city centre flat was at the centre of a police operation on Tuesday morning.

Officers swooped on an address on Perth’s Tay Street and conducted a search of the property.

Sniffer dogs were also deployed as part of the raid, which took place just before 11am.

One eyewitness said: “I spotted three or four police officers going into the flat and they brought along dogs as well.

“They had two cars and the big van, so there must be something serious going on.”

Police Scotland have not confirmed the nature of the investigation.
