One of Perth’s best known sporting characters, Dunc Ferguson, has passed away at the age of 82.
He was particularly well known in football and bowling circles. A founder-member of the Perth and District Five-A-Side Football League, he also officiated in the league for nearly 30 years.
Mr Ferguson was also well to the fore in the Ex-Service and Moncrieffe Bowling Clubs and the Cyprus Inn golf section.
He also organised the annual Bridge of Earn hospital sports day.
He leaves his wife Edith, daughter Shirley, son Duncan, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral is at Perth Crematorium on Friday at 9.30am.
