Mr McIntosh was driving a silver Peugeot 206 on the A9 between Perth and Stirling when his car left the road shortly before 2.30pm. Despite the best attempts of members of the public and medical staff at the scene, he was pronounced dead a short time later at Perth Royal Infirmary.
