Motorcyclist dies after colliding with road roller

A motorcyclist has died after a road accident in Perthshire.
The man, who is understood to have been in his 60s, was involved in a collision with a road roller on the A93 near to the Glenshee Ski Centre shortly after 2.40pm.
He was airlifted to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The road was closed in both directions as accident investigation works began.
Police Scotland said the incident had occurred at the Devil’s Elbow a hairpin bend at the summit of the Cairnwell Pass.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland, Tayside Division and other emergency services are currently dealing with a serious road traffic accident.
“The road is currently closed whilst the incident is ongoing and motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.”
