A Perth man has admitted sending threatening messages to his ex-partner after their relationship ended.
Jamie Adam sent menacing text messages to the woman after breaking up with her because he believed she had been unfaithful.
At Perth Sheriff Court today, Adam admitted sending the messages between August 28 and 29 this year.
In them he threatened to harm the woman and her mother and kill her horse.
Fiscal depute Stuart Richardson told the court that the 24-year-old sent one text reading: “How to kill a horse and make a sad sl*t of an owner watch”.
The second said: “Well the owner and her mother will be put in the grave very soon and so will the horse with a knife to its throat.”
Solicitor Nicky Brown, defending, said Adam had been drinking after breaking up with the woman. He was also upset as the break-up coincided with the anniversary of his mother’s death.
Sheriff William Wood deferred sentence on Adam, of South Street, Perth, for three months.
