A serial rapist who tied up a woman at his Perth home and subjected her to a harrowing sex attack has been jailed for 10 years.
Robin Porter, 33, bound his victim’s wrist and ankles together before raping her while she sobbed and begged him to stop.
Afterwards he told her: “Sorry, that was horrible. I went too far and I didn’t like it.”
He appeared for sentencing at the High Court in Aberdeen yesterday, having previously admitted the attack in November 2012, at his then home in Perth’s Scott Street.
He was jailed for 10 years, but was told he would be closely monitored for five years after his release as part of an extended sentence.
The court was previously told that Porter had caused his victim pain during the horrific ordeal. She had allowed him to tie her up, but changed her mind when he became angry.
Advocate depute Andrew Stewart QC said: “She withdrew her consent. She begged him to stop because he was hurting her, but he did not. She was crying.”
Unemployed Porter had also assaulted the woman at her home when he pushed her onto a bed and ripped her dress before punching her on the face and head.
The victim called police and was taken to hospital where she was found to have bruises to her arms, neck and eye socket.
When questioned by police about the attack, the woman revealed Porter had raped her.
Porter, who was already on the sex offenders register for an indecency offence, had also admitted assaulting and raping two women on earlier occasions.
